I was raised by a mystical siren and a bohemian vampire. My mother’s spiritual music and my father’s gothic watercolor paintings shaped the eccentric aesthetic that I surround myself with today.
My professional background includes working for Apple as a retail specialist, running my own alternative healing therapy business, and completing my Bachelors in Critical Psychology with the intention of becoming a counselor. After graduating Pyramind’s Core intensive audio production curriculum, and Interactive DSP, I shifted my career toward audio. I applied the organizational, IT, and interpersonal skills I learned in my previous occupations, and my experience as a student, to keep Pyramind Studios running smoothly and efficiently, for both the Training and the Production teams.
I currently work for Calm.com as their Audio Producer and CS support consultant. Working for this company has been a perfect intersection of my passions: mindfulness, audio, and creativity.
My musical path began in my early childhood, under the guidance of my mother, a classical guitarist and choral director. She was also was an avid gamer, which cultivated my love for video games. In high school, I studied advanced musical theory and participated in several choirs that won awards in choral competitions throughout the state of California. I enjoy composing ethereal soundscapes layered with my voice, which I hope will one day score an epic fantasy RPG. My other interests include acting and singing in Renaissance fairs, voice over, leatherworking, birdwatching, and performing very rarely at San Francisco pagan/gothic/industrial club events. As a survivor of CPTSD, I’m also an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness.
